Renting A Property As A Sex Worker Via A Landlord Who Knows What You’re Doing

Renting a property as a sex worker can be difficult unless you know where to look. Knowing other sex workers can help because you get into a sort of chain reaction of information where someone might know someone who has a property to rent but doesn’t advertise it. Other women in the industry might also know of escort agencies that have flats they let the women work from etc.

There is a “To Let” section on AdultWork which advertises properties to rent up and down the UK.

We have found that renting properties in a diverse neighborhood with people from different nationalities is so much better than working in an area full of nosey English neighbours. We’ve had personal experience with this, and have noticed that in neighborhoods where there’s a mix of nationalities, people tend to mind their own business. Even when things are pretty obvious, no one seems to take notice. We can’t guarantee that every mixed nationality area will be the same, but it has always worked out well for us.

It’s always a good idea to respect your neighbours and not make the work too “out there”.

For some weird reason, the flats and properties usually look something like this:

We know of someone who once rented a room in a big house. The main tenant was an ex- sex worker who had a day job. The property opposite belonged to the same landlord and housed Polish tenants. This guy’s house was operating as a workplace for years, but the landlord never found out, or maybe he did but didn’t say anything. He was Polish, too. It was a nice area, so most people were out working during the day, although there were a few who weren’t.

Someone else also rented a property in a different town but in a similar ethnically diverse area. That place served as a workplace for fifteen years, and nobody ever suspected a thing. Check out areas around universities because a lot of these properties can be found there.

Sometimes when you enquire about renting a property from someone who is letting it out for sex work, you’ll come across a guy who wants something extra along with the rent, but there are also decent guys out there who keep things professional. We have found that having set boundaries works better!

There’s a website called Luv Rentals, but most of their properties are in London. It’s not the best website to be honest, but you might want to take a look. If you do a Google search for properties to let for escorts, a couple of other options will pop up too. Just be cautious, trust your instincts, and assume that everyone might not be completely honest and professional until they prove otherwise.

Renting A Property Through A Letting Agent

Gone are the days where you could just pay six month’s rent in advance and the letting agent wouldn’t ask for your employment details. Nowadays there is so much competition to rent, that the landlords can be fussy and take their pick – which means an in-depth look into your finances. Even if you are trading as a “therapist” as some sex workers do, the tenancy agreement will usually state that a person doesn’t work from the premises. But if you choose somewhere that’s discreet and have all the paperwork, it should be absolutely fine.

Before everything went online, a lot of sex workers worked in and lived at the same property, but nowadays it can be a bit risky, although some sex workers do it that way. It saves money, obviously, and you won’t have to see so many punters if you only have one rent to cover so it will be more low-key.

We have noticed a slight trend of men contacting women through their advertisements and offering them the use of the property that the men live in. This helps them out with money so it’s a win-win situation. The daily rent should be no more than the cost of a hotel for one night, in the same area.

What can be a better situation is if the landlord/owner charges weekly; say around £200 – £250 a week. That sometimes works better for sex workers because if they are quiet one day, they can always come in to work another day to make up for it. Then you can both agree on the hours and how many clients you’ll see.

Someone should create a decent website for landlords who want to rent out to hookers. The 200 to 250 a week is too cheap unfortunately. Most charge around 400 for seven days. We have so much to pay for before we see a profit but as long as the landlords don’t take the piss, it’s ok. 400 is average, not 250.

You can still get properties on Gumtree if you pay a good deposit up front but the places are usually quite rough and dirty which means you wont be able to charge as much. Some landlords on there turn a blind eye and don’t care if you work from there.

Yes but where do we find them.
